This optimistic outlook—moving forward with energy—has been with me since birth. Over time, my life experiences have enriched this mindset, shaping my ability to support and think alongside others. While this comes naturally to me, it has been made even easier by the joy of a wonderful family, three now-grown children, and my role as a proud grandfather. All of this has led to what I consider a remarkable career in B2B insurance services.

My background in top-level sports meant I had to operate at a Champions League level—competitive, results-driven, and international. Living with my family in New York and later moving to London with my wife strengthened my independence and broadened my perspective. The organization I worked for demanded an entrepreneurial spirit from its leadership, regardless of role.

As a generalist, my responsibilities were diverse—ranging from account and relationship management to business development, sales leadership, and line management for larger divisions. I also took the lead in shaping niche propositions. My approach has always been creative and out-of-the-box, but above all, rooted in recognizing and leveraging the talents, qualities, and aspirations of people. Long before it became a widely recognized concept, I practiced servant leadership—supporting and enabling teams to excel. I believe in a healthy, critical mindset, acknowledging individual limitations (including my own) while focusing on the strength of the team and what each person can and should contribute. Success comes from a synergy between knowledge and action, with a strong bias toward getting things done.
